handlo does not double-book. Slots are checked against the connected calendar at the moment they are offered, and a database constraint refuses two appointments that overlap on the same resource — so a race between two simultaneous callers cannot produce a clash.
It also does not take a deposit to hold a slot, and it will not invent availability. If the calendar is full it captures the request and tells you, rather than promising a time you cannot keep.
